The first days of Kindergarten are an exciting time! They give us a wonderful opportunity to learn about each child, discover their strengths and interests, and begin building our classroom communities.
Initial Classroom Placement
To kick off the school year, each Kindergarten student will receive an initial placement in either the purple room or the yellow room.
Families will receive their child’s initial placement on Friday, August 14 th, at the end of the day
August 24–27: Kindergarten Kickoff! Getting to Know Our Hawks
During the first four days of school, August 24–27, Kindergarten students will participate in a variety of fun and engaging learning activities. Students will have opportunities to spend time with each Kindergarten teacher as they learn, play, explore, and make new friends. These first few days allow our teachers to get to know every child and help us create classroom communities where all students can thrive. Think of these days as our Kindergarten Kickoff!
We will be watching, listening, learning, and celebrating each child's unique strengths as we get to know our newest Hawks.
Permanent Classroom Placement
After spending the first four days getting to know all of our Kindergarten students, our Kindergarten team will work together to create permanent classroom communities.
Families will receive their child's permanent classroom placement:
Thursday, August 27th at the end of the day
On Friday, August 28, students will officially begin their day in their permanent Kindergarten classroom with either Mr. Allen or Ms. Cahill.
