Dear Parents and Guardians,
On behalf of the teachers and staff of Skokie School District 68, welcome to the 2025–2026 school year!
Our team is energized and ready to welcome students into learning environments that are both inviting and modernized. This summer, we completed a five-year, district-wide remodeling project that included upgrades to school interiors, lighting, flooring, casework, and mechanical systems. Classroom furniture is being refreshed as well, with more enhancements planned each year. Each elementary school now has upgraded heating and cooling systems—including geothermal at two campuses—supporting both sustainability and cost savings. Construction is also underway on our new Early Childhood Center, scheduled to open in fall 2026. These community investments reflect our ongoing commitment to providing students with the best possible resources and learning experiences.
As I begin my second year as Superintendent, I am grateful for the opportunity to focus on building partnerships with our students, families, and community.
Over the past year and throughout the summer, we have focused on strengthening engagement, and I am excited to share a few outcomes and opportunities from that work as we start the new school year!
It is a privilege and honor to serve the Skokie 68 community - I wish all of our students and families a wonderful first day of school and a successful year ahead.
